Must Know Rules of the Road: Bicycles
In today’s 2-Minute Tuesday Brief, attorney Sean Werner goes over the rules of the road when riding a bicycle in the state of Maryland.
These rules may not be known to the casual cyclist, but they are important to avoid breaking the law as well as to help keep you safe on the roadways.
Permanent Partial Disability (PPD) Awards
In today’s 2-Minute Tuesday Brief, Will discusses Permanent Partial Disability (PPD) awards. PPD refers to a type of injury or illness that results in a permanent loss of function in one or more body parts, but does not necessarily prevent a person from working entirely.
PPD can be caused by either a work-related injury or an occupational disease. Some examples of conditions that can lead to PPD include: back injuries, carpal tunnel syndrome, amputation of a body part hearing loss, vision loss in one eye, knee injury, nerve damage, and (PTSD) post-traumatic stress disorder.
